ON SATURDAY JANUARY 22, WE LOST ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PEOPLE AND INSPIRATIONS; HIS NAME WAS THICH NHAT HANH. HE WAS AN EXTRAORDINARY PERSON, A BUDDHIST MONK / PEACE ACTIVIST / WRITER / TEACHER. HE DIED AT THE AGE OF 95. BORN IN VIETNAM IN 1926, BECAME A MONK AT THE AGE OF 16, THEN IN THE 1950S WHEN THE WAR ON VIETNAM STARTED HE BECAME AN ANTI WAR PEACE ACTIVIST BECAUSE OF THE BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES OF NON VIOLENCE AND COMPASSIONATE ACTION. HE WAS LATER EXILED FROM VIETNAM FOR 39 YEARS, SO HE TRAVELLED THE WORLD SPREADING LOVE AND PEACE, HE WROTE MANY BOOKS AND CREATED ZEN RETREAT CENTERS AROUND THE WORLD. HE SPENT HIS WHOLE LIFE TRYING TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO FEEL BETTER THROUGH PEACE AND COMPASSION, AND HE DID A GREAT JOB WITH IT. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING HIM UP, ALL THE BOOKS ARE AMAZING, SO HELPFUL IN THE WORLD WE LIVE IN.
